This guide will install everything you need from ports, so you are sure to always have the latest up to date version of all the applications needed to run Qmail on your FreeBSD Server.

I’ve been using this Qmail guide you are about to read for a very long time. At the time of writing this Qmail installation is running on 11 servers. 7 of them are companies where I installed Qmail using this setup and 4 are my own. All are rock solid to put it in plain english. Besides installing Qmail this guide will also install the following to accompany your Qmail installation.

Ucspi-Tcp from ports, Daemontools from ports, Autorespond from ports, Ezmlm-IDX from ports, Vpopmail from ports, ValidRCPTTO from ports, Maildrop from ports, SpamAssassin from ports, ClamAV from ports, Qmail-Scanner from ports.
